There's a version of my career that looks impressive on a slide: 20 years across advertising, marketing, and PR agencies; content strategy leadership at Meta; brand and communications work touching Visa, Google, AT&T, and the Office of President Bill Clinton.

That background is real. But it's not why you should hire me.

You should hire me because all of that experience taught me the thing most startups and small businesses never get access to: what rigorous brand thinking actually looks like in practice. The frameworks that global companies pay millions to develop — audience definition, messaging architecture, positioning strategy, content hierarchy — I know how to apply them at your scale, on your timeline, without the bloat.

I started Content Joinery because I kept seeing the same gap. Smart founders and growing businesses with something genuinely worth saying — but no clear way to say it. A website that didn't quite capture it. A pitch that sounded different every time. A brand that felt unfinished even when everything else was working.

That gap is fixable. That's the work.

How I think about this work

Brand strategy isn't about finding a clever tagline. It's about understanding — clearly and honestly — what you do, who it's for, and why they should care. Everything else follows from that.

For smaller businesses doing this for the first time, the temptation is to rush to the deliverables: a new logo, a new website, a launch plan. I push back on that, gently. The thinking has to come first. When it does, everything downstream gets easier — and more consistent.

I also believe in working fast without cutting corners. I use AI tools throughout my process — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini — to compress the research and analysis work that used to take weeks. That efficiency passes directly to you, in the form of faster turnaround and more competitive pricing than you'd expect for this level of experience.
